Dr. Lee graduated summa cum laude with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience from McMaster University in 1997 and then received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Manitoba in 2002. He also served in the Canadian Forces as a Reservist Army Medical Assistant (1995-1999) and then as a Regular Force Army Dental Officer (1999-2007); during his tenure as a dental officer, Dr. Lee received extensive post-graduate training in a wide variety of specialties, including oral and maxillofacial surgery, rotary nickel-titanium endodontic therapy, and pain and anxiety control (held at the prestigious Bethesda Naval Medical Centre near Washington, DC). Desiring to further broaden his scope of practice for his patients, Dr. Lee pursued further post-graduate education in aesthetic dentistry (Post-Graduate Program in Aesthetic Dentistry at the University of Minnesota) and implant dentistry.
In order to improve the quality of care for Temporomandibular Dysfunction patients, Dr. Lee has recently joined The Pankey Institute – dentistry’s leading provider of continuing education for clinical expertise.
Dr. Lee has a heart for social justice in our community – both locally and globally. He has volunteered his time to serve in multiple First Nations reserves, at dental clinics associated with shelters for the homeless in various cities across Canada, and in mobile dental clinics serving impoverished communities overseas including dental mission trips to Haiti (2012, 2013) and Peru (2019).
Dr. Lee is married to his beautiful wife Soo Jung with whom they have two beautiful children, Emma and Jabez. As a family, they enjoy: curling, downhill skiing, and skating on the Rideau Canal in the winter; golf, tennis, and basketball in the summer; and taekwondo no matter what the season! Dr. Lee also works part-time as a high-level international curling consultant.
Alicia's passion to become a dental hygienist and care for people developed at a very young age. Her love for dental health care grew as she began working in a dental clinic at the age of 17.
She now has over 13 years of experience in the dental field. Alicia graduated from Algonquin College in 2004 as a Level I and Level II Dental Assistant; she then went on to graduate from Dental Hygiene at Algonquin College in 2009. She first embarked on her dental career in the Ottawa Valley, and then joined Dr. Lee and his team in the summer of 2013.Alicia strives to make an oral health care difference in the lives of her patients by incorporating thorough yet gentle evidence-based dental hygiene care.
Alicia enjoys spending quality time with her family by going to the cottage, hunting, fishing, cheering on the Blue Jays, family trips, movies and reading.
Pat graduated with a diploma in Dental Assisting from Career Canada college in 1990. She has been working in our dental clinic as an office administrator since 1996. Dental insurance co-ordination is one of Pat’s strong points – many of our current patients greatly appreciate how Pat helps them understand and maximize their dental insurance benefits. Pat takes great pride in making sure that every single administrative need of each and every dental patient is completely accounted for. She enjoys taking care of people and invests great effort in making sure that their dental needs are comprehensively met when scheduling appointments with our office.
Pat enjoys life with her family – which includes her three beloved dogs: Duke, Diesel, and Miss Ellie. Pat has also mastered the fine art of winemaking, as both clinic staff and patients rave about her bottles of homemade wine!
Hannah graduated with a diploma in Dental Assisting Levels I and II at Durham College in 2011. After working for 3 years in Oshawa, Hannah moved to Ottawa to be closer to her hometown of Perth. She has been Dr. Lee’s assistant since December 2014. Hannah has really enjoyed working beside Dr. Lee and the other members of his team. She strives to ensure that every patient who comes to the clinic receives the best care possible. Prior to completing her Dental Assisting program, Hannah graduated from the Business Administration program at Durham College and has extensive experience working at the front desk as a dental receptionist.
In her spare time, Hannah enjoys cooking, swimming and exploring different areas of the city.
Since Pam was young, she has always been interested in dentistry. As a child, going to the dentist for checkups and fillings was a regular annual routine. For Pam, her oral health has always been important to her. Her passion for dentistry grew until the age of 18, when she decided to pursue Dental Assistant training at CNIH in 2013. During her training program, Pam became fully confident that she had chosen the career that was custom-made for her. Since graduating from CNIH, Pam has had may years of dental assisting experience at various dental clinics in the Ottawa area. Pam joined our dental team in August 2019. Pam enjoys spending time with her children, watching movies, and is quite active in numerous sports.
